Suzanne Katherine (Stroh) Schlientz

On Oct 11, 2022, Suzanne Katherine (Stroh) Schlientz embraced her Angel grandchild, Calvin Kirkbride as she joins him in heaven. The first week of August in 2022, Sue was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She spent the last few months being supported by her family, friends, and church as she prepared herself to enter her new, heavenly home. Our grief-stricken hearts are over flowing with love for this feisty, spirited, tender hearted woman who left us much to soon. May she always remember our endless love as we mourn her absence on this earth. Susie was the fourth child of Margaret and Milburn Stroh who preceded her in death as well as her older brothers-Ronald, Roger, Robert (Butch), and younger sister, Sherry. Sue is survived by her younger siblings Sally (husband JB), Sandra, and Rick (wife Karon) as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. After graduating from Mt Mercy Academy, Sue pursued a career in nursing before marrying her one and only love, John Schlientz, her devoted husband of 52 years. Sue will be forever missed by her immediate family- daughter Carole Ann (Mike Kidd) Hacker and her children: Joshua, Christina, Michael, and Genevieve; son Timothy (Dori) Schlientz and their daughter, Lena; son Chad (Joanna) Schlientz and their children Kailey and Carter; daughter Sherry (Cory) Kirkbride and their daughters Katelynn, Kelsey, Kylee. Grandma Sue shall be reunited with our Calvin-Sherry and Cory’s youngest child who awaits us all, in heaven. Sue was an avid gardener, dedicated golfer, part of the Resurrection Choir at Holy Spirit Parish, and a member of the Nurse’s Honor Guard. Words cannot express how much we will miss you! Rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. The family will receive visitors Monday October 17, 2022 at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm where a Rosary will be prayed Monday at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Parish, 2230 Lake Michigan Dr. NW where her family will receive visitors one hour prior to the Mass. A luncheon will immediately follow. The family would like to thank Emmanuel Hospice for their outstanding hospice care of Susie.
