Sandra (Sandy) Klein

Sandra (Sandy) Klein age 77 peacefully passed away on Friday, August 4. She is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) Klein; her five children Tracy (Dave) Babcock, Lori (Michael) Stream, Dennis (Jennifer) Klein, Rob (Tia) Klein and Phil (Jessica) Klein; her favorite people her grandchildren Mackenzie (Jake) Schoenborn, Shelby (fiancé Kenny) Babcock, Kylee Babcock, Brayden Babcock, Lanie Stream, Ethan Stream, Emily Klein, Ashley Klein, Harleigh Klein, Breslyn Klein and Brinley Klein. Sandy was preceded in death by her family members; her sister Linda (Tony) Dunneback, brother Bill Chesla, sister Janie Chesla and parents Charles and Marie Chelsa. Her surviving siblings are Jim (Jan) Chesla, Bruce (Julie) Chesla and Joanie (Jim) Host; her in laws Janet (Jack) Riordan, Vicki (Rich) Zemaitis, Lorraine Veeneman, Phyllis (Leonard) Klein and Ernest (Laurie) Klein; many nieces and nephews. As a child Sandy grew up in the Marne and Coopersville area. She attended Berlin High School and graduated from Kenowa Hills. Her siblings remember her helping at the Marne Store, their annual shopping trips to Traverse City over Thanksgiving, lunch dates and having their older sister for support. Her husband Chuck will miss polka dancing, car rides in the fall to look at the leaves, going to church together and trips with friends. Life while raising the kids on the farm. Sandy’s children will remember how important family was to their mom. The special quilts she created, Polish foods during the holidays, trips to the cottage, birthday gatherings, barbeque sandwiches with homemade potato salad after bailing hay and her incredible homemade fudge none of them can perfect. She loved holding the grand babies. Their mom was patient and loved raising her five very active children. The grandkids will remember she always made Christmas magical and spiritual. They received Christmas ornaments that were themed. The card games, LRC with twenty gathered at the table, her hand created pillowcases and stuffed bears. Disney movies, making strawberry shortcake and jam. American Girl Dolls will always be special. Grandma taught them how to sew and bake. Hayrides during the fall season to gather pumpkins on the farm was an all-time favorite. Sandy loved her trips to Florida with friends, the beach and quiet moments on her back deck at the house. The importance of family and raising her children will be a memory passed to her children. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday August 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Marne where she will repose one hour prior to the Mass. Interment St. Mary’s Church Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Wednesday August 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
