Rebecca (Becki) Felicitas Ysasi-Manning

Rebecca (Becki) Felicitas Ysasi-Manning aged 54 passed away on March 9, 2020 after a courageous ten year battle with cancer. Becki was born July 11, 1965 in Grand Rapids to Guillermo and Maria Ysasi. Her family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes and wish her well on her journey to eternal life. She was preceded in death by her father, Guillermo Hughes Ysasi, friend Beth Shorey Zucco, her grandparents and other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Becki is survived by her children Christopher (Johanna) Manning and Felicia Manning, (their father Brian Manning), spouse Derek Smith; siblings, Ruben (Suzanne) Ysasi, Raul (Kathy) Ysasi, Ricardo Ysasi, Raquel (Raul) Huerta, Rosenda (Bernard Frazier) Montalvo and her uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Many special friends and classmates from the Catholic Central Class of 1983. Chris Wait, Mary Kohl Tuten, J. T. Kohl, John and Angie Miller, Austin Reilly, Mary and Paul Swidwa, Dawn Despres, Roger and Teri Erickson, Pat and Amy Tepper and Karen and Shelly Murphy, Jerry Bott, Joe Watson and family, Maureen Kelly, Michelle Trap and an army of Catholic Central Alumni. Becki was a life-long resident of Grand Rapids, she graduated from Catholic Central High School and attended Grand Rapids Community College. Becki was employed at 5/3 Bank for twenty-one years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travel, shopping, going out to eat, watching movies taking care of her mother and being the coordinator of the Ysasi family FB page. Becki was a kind and loving person who always went out of her way to help friends and family in need. In spite of her illness she lived her life to the fullest. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 10:00 AM at The Cathedral of Saint Andrew where she will repose one hour before the mass, Father Steven Cron celebrant. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 12, from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, 937 Michigan St. N.E. Grand Rapids, MI. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank friends, family, Emmanuel Hospice and 5/3 bank for their care and support during this difficult time.
