Adam Eli Guigue

Adam Eli Guigue 28 of Walker, Michigan passed away suddenly April 3, 2022 of natural causes. Adam was born April 16, 1993 to Robert and Nanci (Johnson) Guigue and was engaged to Cheryl Van Seters. Adam was a 2011 graduate of Kenowa Hills. He attended Grand Rapids Community College earning a degree in Tooling and Manufacturing Technology. After graduation, he chose to follow his passion since childhood; becoming a firefighter and first responder. He attended Lake Superior State University and graduated with a degree in Fire Science and Paramedic Technology. Adam worked as a Paramedic for Life EMS and served as a firefighter with Alpine Township Fire Department. Adam also worked several years at Berlin Raceway doing everything from running concessions and working maintenance, to serving on the safety crew. On the job, he was known for his calm demeanor, friendly nature, and level-headed decision making. Loved by family, friends, and colleagues for his intelligence, courage, humor, and wit, Adam will be greatly missed. In his free time, Adam loved playing hockey, spending time with his family, traveling, and working out at Walker Ice and Fitness Center with his best friend Trevor. He and his fiancée Cheryl enjoyed camping, sky diving, diving with sharks, hiking with their dog Bear, traveling and spending time with their families. The positive ripple effect Adam has had on our community is greater than anyone can measure. His influence in such a short time is a reminder that we can all work to help others, by sharing a smile, telling a joke, or going out of our way to lend a hand when the opportunity presents itself. Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather Kenneth Johnson, grandparents Lewis and Hilda Guigue and Uncle Tony Johnson. Adam is lovingly missed by his; parents Nanci and Bob Guigue, fiancée Cheryl Van Seters and family, grandmother Patricia Johnson, Aunts and Uncles: Mary Johnson, Ken and Kris Johnson, Eric and Terry Johnson, Melissa (Doug) Haneline, Gary and Denise Sironen, and Bruce Youngman; Cousins: Brad Johnson, Karah (Kevin) Langeland, Paige Johnson, Eric Johnson Jr, Jake (Shania) Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Kelci Johnson, Riley Sironen, and Phillip Youngman; Best friend Trevor Langeland. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church (2700 Fulton Street E, Grand Rapids, MI). The family will receive visitors at 10:00 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am followed by food and fellowship.
