William Joseph Finkler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William Joseph Finkler, known by his family and friends as Bill or Gus, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 04, 2022. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. Bill has left behind his two children, William (Erica) and Sarah Finkler; Granddaughter, Lucille Finkler; Mother, Lucille Finkler; Brothers, Dennis (Mary Jo), Dale (Sally), and Rick Finkler; Sisters, Mary and Kathy Finkler, Carolyn Snowdin, and Terri (Mike) Spicuzza, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. William was born in Conklin, Michigan on April 26th, 1965 to Duane and Lucille Finkler. He is preceded in death by his father, Duane Finkler, and his niece, Niki Snowdin. William had the biggest heart and was always willing to help others. Whether it was someone that he knew quite well or a complete stranger, he never hesitated to lend a hand. The selflessness he showed made many people around him want to be better. You would also never find him sitting in one place for too long. He was either helping on the family farm or coming up with a project for himself. He grew up loving the outdoors, and he looked forward to spending deer season with his friends each fall. Those who knew him would refer to him as a fearless man. There was no project too large, or tree too tall for him to cut down. He was always up for the challenge. William was the type of man who could make friends wherever he went. His warm, infectious laugh could be recognized anywhere, and he loved to make people smile. He deeply cared for his children and granddaughter, they were truly the center of his world. He loved spending his time with them, and he would call just to say hello any chance that he had. He was the best father a kid could ask for. He will be truly missed by so many. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 4-8 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. Starting at 7:30 PM, there will be a time to share memories followed by a rosary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier 2044 Gooding St. Conklin, MI 49403, where the family will receive visitors one hour prior to the Mass. Following the mass, dinner will be provided at the KC hall 21130 32nd Ave Conklin, MI 49403.
