Mrs. Sue Ellen Noneman

Mrs. Sue Ellen Noneman age 80 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Monday February 14, 2022 after a battle with lung cancer. Sue was born October 17, 1941 in Grand Rapids to Verne Owen and Esther Louise Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Jerry L. Noneman, her son Steven Noneman and her parents Verne and Esther. Surviving are her daughter Amy (Tim) Kozminski; her grandchildren Logan, Casey, Jocelyn and Nathan Kozminski; her brother James Dodge (Valerie Beyer); sisters Alice (George) Belknap, Mary (Garry) DeBoer; sisters-in-law Patricia West and Jacquelyn Perry; several nieces and nephews. Sue attended Grand Rapids Junior College (now Grand Rapids Community College). She later retired from GAB Business Services. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially the years spent at her seasonal property, Sandy Pines. Through the years she was active with the Santa Claus Girls, Make-A-Wish, Red Hat Ladies “Fancy Pants”, the Elks Lodge Daisy Chain, volunteering at Walker Charter Academy as well as several charities over the years. Sue also relished her monthly lunches with her 1959 East Grand Rapids High School ladies, “The Golden Girls” and taking bus trips to dinner theaters and shopping trips. She was a long standing member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 am at St. Anthony Church 2510 Richmond NW where she will repose one hour before the Mass. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Sue’s family will receive visitors Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW. Memorial contributions may be made Faith Hospice or Kids Food Basket.
