Richard Eli Slawson

January 18, 1964 - June 3, 2020

Richard Eli Slawson, unexpectedly departed this life, into eternal life at the age of 56, a week ago last Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Rick was a man of many interests, who had numerous friends. He enjoyed, among other things, going on cruises, going to the movies with friends, visiting various restaurants and enjoying the experience of dining on cuisine from different parts of the globe, be it Chinese, Mexican, Thai, or just good, old-fashioned, classic Americana! When the weather was right, he liked visiting Renaissance Festivals. Rick had a full, hearty laugh, that was contagious. That laugh will be so missed by all of us, who loved him so! He had a quick wit and was very kind and generous He is survived by his sisters and brothers, George Raymond Slawson, Paulette Peckham, Ronald Slawson (Sherry), Kimberley Tramper & Kenneth Slawson (Kathy). Nieces and nephews, Vickie Patterson (Ben), Rebecca Exposito, Renee Bosworth, Ann Dunham, Robert Grose (Mandy), Mer O'Keefe (Gavin), Gregory Slawson, Kellie Slawson, Chelsea Slawson, 28 great & great great neices and nephews, as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother George and Marian Slawson, sister Linda Grose, niece Tara Exposito, nephew Ryan Tramper, and brother in law Richard Peckham. He will be laid to rest at Blythfield Memory Gardens, 6200 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont, Mi 49306, where there will be a graveside service for close family and a few close friends @ 12 pm Saturday, 06/13/2020. Following the graveside service, there will be a Celebration of Rick's life at Townsend Park's open pavilion, 8280 6 mile Rd NE Rockford Mi 49341, for all who wish to join @ 1pm. Due to Covid-19 there will not be food served. Instead of flowers please bring a smile or a fond memory. We're looking forward to sharing our time together.
