Tributes

Patrick William Marshall, age 68, of Coopersville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lucille (Anderson) Marshall. He is survived by his adoring wife of 37 years, LaVonne, his two beautiful daughters, Sarah Marshall-Mol (Ryan, Drexler) and Amber, and his siblings, Mike (Maryleah), Mary (Gary) Crain, Jeff (Ruth), Susan (Cressel) Smith, Tina (Greg) Nickel, and 19 nieces and nephews. Pat was his own man and lived life on his own terms. Possessed with the talent for understanding how things work, he could fix and create virtually anything. Pat used his talent as an employee at Consumers Energy, where he worked for 29 years in sub-construction. He retired in July, 2020. He was a devoted family man who was fiercely proud of his daughters and in awe of his grandson, Drexler. He considered his son-in-law Ryan to be one of his best friends. In his youth he spent time restoring old cars and made many friendships with like-minded mechanics. He was an excellent cook, talented artist and was most happy hanging out at home with his wife. Pat had a passion for music and art and loved spending time in the woods. Many family vacations were enjoyed camping in Michigan. Handsome and strong, humble and kind, he will be greatly missed. Visitation and services will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at Old Stonegate Farms, 10831 Cleveland Street in Nunica. Visitation from 4:00 - 6:00pm, Memorial Service 6:00 - 6:30 pm with food to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Coopersville Area District Library.
