Mr. Norbert J Kloska
March 31, 1936 - July 3, 2021
Norbert Justin Kloska, 85 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 3, 2021, at home with the care of his family and hospice. He is now resting with our Loving Lord and Blessed Mother. He retired from the US Post Office after 38 years of service and being Postmaster of Wayland Mi. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3104. He loved his polka music, playing his concertina, and was a faithful listener to Polka Pops. He was also a member the Old Time Concertina Club. Fall Saturdays were set aside for his beloved Fighting Irish Football. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Catherine (Hilaski) Kloska, brother and sister-in-law Ron and Mary Kloska, sister-in-law Marge Kloska, brother-in-law Edward McCormick. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Barbara (Yurkinas), children Greg and Ruthann (Ptak), Debra and Bob Wysocki, Rosemarie, Rick and Ann (Savoie), 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Brothers Irvin and Bonnie Kloska, Frank Kloska, sister Marie and Mike Wisinski, sister-in-law Rosalie McCormick. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church where he will repose one hour prior to the Mass. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. His family will receive visitors Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm. The family would like to thank the entire nursing staff on 4 North at Butterworth Spectrum Health Hospital for all the care and compassion they provided as well as the Spectrum Health Hospice Care Team. In lieu of flowers please donate to his favorite charities St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
