Mr. Norbert Bartosiewicz

February 14, 1937 - June 17, 2020

Mr. Norbert Bartosiewicz age 83 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 17, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancee, his son in law Robert, his parents Helen and John Bartosiewicz, his brothers John, Charles and Joseph Bartosiewicz and his sister Genevieve Barwacz. Surviving are his beloved children Ilene Slaktoski, Kristine (Martin) Wong, Robert (Linda) Bartosiewicz, James (Marge) Bartosiewicz; grandchildren Kathyrn Dwyer, Daniel McConnon, Joseph (Abby) McConnon, Gabriel (Tritia) Bartosiewicz, Jonathon (fiancé Taylor Stockton) Bartosiewicz, Heidi Slaktoski, Noah Bartosiewicz, Adam and Noah Wong; great grandchildren Isis Dwyer and James Bartosiewicz; siblings Edward (Cheryl) Bartosiewicz, David (Bobbie) Bartosiewicz and Ray (Lupe) Bartosiewicz; sister in law Mary Lou Bartosiewicz; many nieces and nephews. Norbert was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a retiree of Rapistan/Diematic after over 40 years of service. Norbert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather “Dzia”. He especially enjoyed travelling throughout the state to see his grandchildren’s activities. He was a great example of living out his faith, touching many people’s lives through his acts of kindness. Norbert brought joy to many children as “Nibby” the clown and playing Santa for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Norbert was a lifelong member of St. Isidore Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday June 20, 2020 10:00 am. He will repose one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
