Nathaniel "Nate" Michael Skalandis

September 24, 1979 - December 19, 2020

Nathaniel “Nate” Michael Skalandis, 41, passed away peacefully at home last week. He was a loving and adoring father of two children, Mason and Emma. Nate was born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1979 and graduated from Coopersville High School in 1998. He dearly loved his children and family. He enjoyed cheering on his children at their sporting events and had a passion for college football and you would invariably hear him cheering “GO BLUE”. He also had a love for boating and camping. He was known for his loving kindness and willingness to help others. Nate is survived by his mother, Robin Glerum of Grand Rapids, his father William Skalandis, Sr. and wife, Carey of Florida, his sister Nicole Dyke and husband Loren of Coopersville, his brother, William “Bill” Skalandis and wife Carey of Belmont, his niece Alix and nephews Lucas, Greysen, Harrison and his grandmother Martha Skalandis, mother of his children Lindsey Skalandis.
