Michael D. Wisniewski, age 91 of Grand Rapids, passed away at home surrounded by his family Thursday October 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. Surviving are: his loving wife of 66 years, Nina; his children Steven, Donna, Deborah (Craig), Sandy (Dennis), Pam and Jeff; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mike was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a Golden Gloves Welterweight Champion boxer. Mike retired from GM after 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. Mike was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where he was part of the Usher’s Club for many years. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday October 19 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua, where he will repose one hour prior to Mass. His family will receive visitors Monday October 18 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd. NW. The Rosary will be prayed Monday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment Rosedale Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
