James Leon Kiliszewski (Jim Kelly)

July 17, 1937 - February 8, 2022

James Leon Kiliszewski (Jim Kelly) peacefully passed away surrounded by his children Tuesday February 8, 2022. Jim was born on July 17, 1937 to Theodore and Laura Kiliszewski. When he was 17 years old, he joined the U.S. Navy and served overseas during the Korean War. Jim graduated from Davenport College and worked most of his career at Michigan Wheel, from where he retired. After he retired, he was the Commander of the American Legion Post 381 of Croton, MI, as well as a member of the VFW of Newaygo, MI. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed drawing and painting nature, wildlife and animals. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ted, Edward, Tom, Linda and Marie. He leaves behind his sister Betsy Willard and brother Dave; his children Kim (John) Nachtegall, Scott Kiliszewski, Maribeth (Ken) Maczinski; his grandchildren Nicole Williams, Kate Nachtegall, Josh Maczinski and Annette Nachtegall and five great grandchildren. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday February 16 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Adalbert, 654 Davis NW, where his family will receive visitors of one hour before the mass. His family will receive visitors Tuesday February 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Stocking Mortuary, 585 Stocking Ave NW. Memorial contributions may be made to the American legion Post 381.
