Doris J. Lafata (Fairbrother) Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Doris J. Lafata (Fairbrother) age 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday January 19, 2022. “Dodie” was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore M., son Joseph A., sisters; Peggy, Jean and Barbara, brother Sonny. She is survived by her children; Sandra (John) Frueh, Deborah (Jeffery) Hapner, Michael Lafata and daughter-in-law Patricia Lafata, her grandchildren, Jeremy (Casey) , Joel (Le), Justin (Faith) Frueh, Matthew , Michael (Chelsea), Nathan (Kortney) Hapner, Tawny (Matthew) Hathaway, Dominic, Connor and Tyler Lafata, and eleven great grandchildren, She is also survived byher sisters Norma VandenBrink, Marlene (Bill) Walker and brother David Fairbrother, many nieces, nephews. Her special sister and brother-in-law Wally and Josephine Wolbrink are happy to welcome her to heaven for a special game of Canasta. Doris was a simple woman who loved her family and had a tremendous sense of humor. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives and will cherish all the memories. Her family would like to thank the staff at Green Acres of Ionia for their compassionate care of her during her last year of life when her struggles with her health were needed. We are also thankful to Kindred Hospice for their kind support. The Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church where she will repose one hour prior to the funeral Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kindred Hospice would be appreciated.
