Mrs. Barbara Lou Milanowski (Grzeszak) age 72 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 25, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Barb was preceded in death by her parents Lou and Irene Grzeszak. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years Mike; her children Brian (Laurie) Scanlon, Andrea Scanlon, Jeff (Tammy) Scanlon and Mike (Debbie) Milanowski Jr.; her beloved grandchildren Adam Stump, Mark Stump, Regan (John) Lockwood, Jacob Fenshaw, Robert DeYoung, Andy Blakeley, Morgan Scanlon, Makenna Scanlon, Mary Milanowski, Priscilla Milanowski and Anna Milanowski; her sister Lynn Burns; sister in law Sharon Milanowski; her brothers in law Jim (Mitzi) Milanowski and Tim (Denise) Milanowski; many nieces and nephews. Barb received her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Communication Arts, dual major. After raising her family she had a successful career in the Corporate Office of Meijer, Benefits Department. A woman of faith she was an active member of St. Anthony Parish, serving with the choir, festivals, hot lunch and bingo to name a few, with her favorite being deeply involved with helping at the school. Her life was devoted to her family especially her grandchildren. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday June 2 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church where she will repose one hour prior to the Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday June 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony School.
