Abraham G. Rossi

December 3, 1931 - December 5, 2021

Abraham G. Rossi, age 90 of Grand Rapids, entered into eternal life Sunday December 5, 2021. Born in 1931 to John B. and Lucille Rossi, Abe graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1951. He was a charter member of his family business, John B. Rossi Tile Company and Bay Area Interiors of Grand Rapids, MI and Saginaw, MI. In 1957, he married Anne L. Palazzolo and then moved to Saginaw, MI in 1967 to manage that Branch of the Tile Company. Upon his retirement, Abe and his family returned to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1998. He was active in the business world, church ministry and various organizations. Abe served aboard the USS Winona as a Radar Technician during the Korean War and remained active with the Catholic War Veterans Post #1058 of St. Adalbert’s Parish and the American Legion Post #258. He is survived by his wife, Anne; two children Thomas G. Rossi (Jackie -deceased) and Claire Anne (Bradley) Chivington; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Abe was a humble man of great faith which sustained him through his many bouts of cancer. Family and friends were important to him. The Mass of Christian Burial with military honors will be celebrated Friday December 10, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church where he will repose one hour prior to the Mass at church. The Mass will be livestreamed via the Holy Spirit Church Facebook page . Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors Thursday December 9 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd. NW, where the Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Spirit Educational Foundation or Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, 585 County Rd Z, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin 53824-9701.
