Ronald C. Grzybowski

Ronald C. Grzybowski age 85 of Montague and Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Thursday October 3, 2024. Ron will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years Pat Grzybowski (Downer); his children Janese (Don) Passenger, Brian (Michelle) Grzybowski and Joe Grzybowski (fiancé Kim); his grandchildren Lindsey (Rob) Wieck, Sam (Katelyn) Passenger, Brittany (Carl) Laurie, Joey (Lindsay) Passenger, Jamie Passenger, Matthew (Elisa) Grzybowski, Luke (Rebecca) Grzybowski, Joshua (Mary) Grzybowski, Victoria Grzybowski, Isaiah (Bethany) Grzybowski, Sarah Grace Grzybowski, Isabella Grzybowski, Josiah Grzybowski, Elijah Grzybowski, Mazie (Gunnar) Nordgren and Mason Grzybowski (fiancé Kayla); his great grandchildren Aiden, Ethan, Alexa, Rylee, Henry, Penn, Murphy, Perry, Levi, Jaylin, Jude, Lyric, Jubilee, Toby, Liam, Maribelle and 3 more on the way; his brother Robert (Carol) Grzybowski; his sister Cindy (Tim) Zaskiewicz; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Judy Lance, Don (Rose) Downer, David (Cookie) Downer, Mary Ann Guenther, Rosemary (Dan) Beahan, Michelle Downer, Kathie Downer, Margie Downer, Loretta Downer; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his infant daughter Mary Beth; his parents Pearl and Walter Grzybowski; his sister Marilyn Grzybowski; Pat’s parents Esther and Si Downer; his brothers-in-law Duane Downer, Russell Lance and Marv Guenther. Ron was a graduate of Catholic Central High School Class of 1956; he then attended Aquinas College and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Michigan in 1961. He married the love of his life Patricia Downer in 1960. He founded Delta Consulting Services Inc. in 1973, which he successfully managed until his retirement. Through the years he enjoyed tennis, golf, running, biking, cross country skiing and especially attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Ron was an avid University of Michigan fan, holding season football tickets for many years. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Church, having served as Eucharist Minister, overseeing the Lectors and was cochairman of the first church renovation. Ron was proud to have donated 99 pints of blood through the years before being diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday October 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church. Ron will repose at the church one hour before the Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday October 10, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd where the Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Spirit Educational Foundation, Catholic Charities West Michigan or the charity of one’s choice.
