Patricia Ann Selzer

Patricia Ann Selzer (Maslowski), age 74, of Wyoming passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 20, 2015. She was born on January 4, 1941 to Stanley and Helen Maslowski. Patti was a wonderful and dedicated mother to her three children, Shelly (Harvey) Van Dyke, Bill (Nikky) Selzer and Lecia Selzer. Patti loved adventure and found it everywhere she went. She had a way of making the everyday joyous. She was always happy and fun, a positive influence on those she spent time with. Her family and friends have fond memories of card games, casino trips, and generous gifts of surplus Avon stock. Patti loved her five grandchildren dearly. Her kind and gentle soul will be missed, but always remembered by her princesses and princes, Stacy (Chad) Kevern, Kelly (Josh) Meerman, Theresa VanderMeer, Jay (Kelly) Van Dyke, and Allix VanderMeer. Days at grandma’s meant lots of affection and play, and often included playing board games like Husker Du, drinking chocolate malts, snuggling, playing on a toy cash register, and occasionally testing your luck at the slot machine. Her four great-grandchildren, Carter, Conway, Lauren, and Turner also got to know the warm heart of their GGP (Great Grandma Palush), noting that every time they saw her she told fun family stories and taught them something, including Polish words which they thought were really fun to say. Patti had a creative streak, and was fond of writing poetry in honor of birthdays, or other family events. She was particularly versed in the Roses are Red format. Her family wrote this to commemorate her: Roses are red, violets are blue, we hit the jackpot when we got you. She was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Piotrowski, brothers; Thomas Maslowski and Frank Maslowski. Patricia is survived by her sisters Theresa Beduhn and Estelle Walker and sister-in-law Kathy Maslowski. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24 at 11:00 AM the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary 3525 Remembrance NW. Her family will receive visitors Sunday, August 23 from 3-6 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Patti may be made to Gilda’s Club or WORK+SHELTER (her granddaughter’s charity)
