Marjorie Mae Enell

Marjorie Mae Enell, age 93, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She is survived by her sister Mary Kallander, her three children, Robert M. Enell (Jeanne), Julie Earhart and Nancy Hughes (Michael), six grandchildren, Matthew Enell (Maggie), Bobby Enell (Ashley), Thomas Enell, Douglas Earhart (Shannon), Allie Hughes and Michael Hughes (Jenna). Marjorie was blessed with four great grandchildren Noah, Christian, Theo and Henry Enell. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Angie & Fred Nelson, stepfather Orville Melin, husband Robert A. Enell, sisters Lois Kallander, Joan Olson and son-in-law Gregory D. Earhart. Marjorie was born on March 8, 1929 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but was raised in Minneapolis/St. Paul. She was the youngest of 4 daughters. Marjorie graduated from the University of Minnesota and moved to Washington DC to work for the Pentagon in the JAG office. She was a very young adventurist and took an international assignment to Tripoli, Libya working at the American Embassy. As fate would have it, she met the love of her life and married Robert A. Enell on April 18, 1953 in Libya. They traveled back to the States and built a home in Comstock Park, MI where they would raise their 3 children. Marjorie had a successful career at Foremost Insurance Company, for nearly 30 years, in the Agency/Licensing Department. Marjorie’s greatest love was her family and she was so grateful they were all in the Grand Rapids area. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, participating in Foremost Retiree events, and traveling all over the U.S. to see her sisters and their families. Marge was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Marjorie will lovingly be remembered for her bright smile, kindness, sweet and sometimes spicy personality, and love for singing and dancing. She will be dearly missed. We would like to send a special Thank You to the Rest Haven staff who took such loving and tender care of Marjorie. We will be forever grateful. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary , 3525 Remembrance Road, N.W., Walker, MI. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made in honor of Marjorie M.
