Charles Henry Toczydlowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Henry Toczydlowski, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left this world on December 30, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on February 17, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Charles brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was a proud Polish American and a lifelong West-sider, cherishing his roots and the vibrant community he called home. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Lawrence Toczydlowski and Mary Lou Wisniewski, who instilled in him the values of hard work, family, and loyalty; his dear brother, Mike Toczydlowski, and his beloved aunt, Charlene Hereen, both of whom he missed deeply. Charles leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts: his devoted wife, Michele Toczydlowski, whom he married on May 14, 2020, in Grandville, MI; his children, Trevor Toczydlowski (Kendall Dyke), Chase Toczydlowski and Megan Clark, as well as other very much-loved family members, Jeff Gross, Todd Gross (Liz and Casey) and Kathy Toczydlowski. A true Detroit sports enthusiast, Charles was a die-hard fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers. His passion for sports was only matched by his love for craft beer tours and the incredible culinary scene in Grand Rapids. He often gathered with friends and family, where his perpetually jovial spirit could light up any room. Known for his quick wit and playful nature, Charles was the life of every gathering, always ready with a joke or a funny story that left everyone in stitches. He had an uncanny ability to make people feel at ease, and his laughter was infectious. Charles was more than just a sports fan and a jokester; he was a pillar of strength and support for his family and friends. His warmth and easy going nature touched the lives of many, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. As a devoted husband, he cherished every moment with Michele, building a life filled with love and laughter. As a father, he took immense pride in watching Trevor and Chase grow into fine young men, supporting their dreams and aspirations every step of the way. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Charles’ life on January 3, 2025, at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW. We encourage all who knew him to come and share their memories and stories, reflecting on the extraordinary man he was. Chuck may have left this world, but his laughter, love, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Chuck.
