Catherine Lynn (Murley) Kuzma July 10, 1959 – June 18, 2025 65 years young Catherine Lynn Kuzma, beloved wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 65. She was the cherished wife of Greg, devoted mother to Cris, Darrell (Emily), and Rachelle (Rein), and the proud Nana of Lilly and Reina—her pride and joy. Catherine has joined her beloved father, Richard Murley, and her son Christopher in the arms of Jesus. She is survived by her loving mother, Connie Murley, and her siblings: Cyndi Teska (Mike), Mike Murley (Sue), and Rich Murley (Patti), who will carry her memory forward with love. A woman of many talents and passions, Catherine was a gifted seamstress who found great joy in creating with fabric—each piece a reflection of her creativity and care. Most recently, she launched a small business called “Pretty Trashy,” making fun, colorful car trash receptacles that quickly became a hit—she sold out at every craft show she attended. Catherine was also an avid bicyclist, a dedicated gardener, and a proud volunteer with the Santa Claus Girls. She could always be counted on to dream up fun and adventurous shenanigans when getting together with her beloved “Lalalaladieser” crew—Carol, Jan, and Diana. Their laughter-filled gatherings often carried on into the wee hours of the night, full of joy, connection, and unforgettable memories. Catherine began her professional life as a teacher, being a pre-school teacher was her favorite! She later worked as an Office Manager at her family’s business, Layman Welding. During the years she spent lovingly caring for her father, she discovered her calling: to bring happiness into the lives of those in their final chapter. This led her to her most rewarding role as a senior activity’s coordinator, where she poured her energy into serving her “Elders” she held so dear at Meadowlark Retirement Village. Catherine’s legacy is one of service, joy, faith, and fierce love. She brought people together, uplifted the weary, and left every space brighter than she found it. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. The family will receive visitors Tuesday June 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12 noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 2510 Richmond St NW followed by a private funeral service.
