Ashley Rae Amann: A Life Celebrated Ashley Rae Amann, a vibrant spirit who embraced life with a contagious zest, passed away unexpectedly on May 15th, 2024. Her unwavering love for the sunshine, boating, and the tranquility of the water defined her essence, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Born on October 19, 1987, Ashley was the beloved daughter of Robin Amann Walenga and Tim Walenga. She cherished her family, including her brother Devon Walenga, sister-in-law Jaimee Benson, and her precious nieces, Charlotte, Imogene, and Benson. She is also survived by her grandparents, Marleene Amann, Marilyn Walenga, and Ed Walenga, as well as her great-grandmother, Helene Rumney, who all played a significant role in shaping her life. She graduated from Central Michigan University with her B.S. Degree in Finance. As a well-respected bartender, she combined her knack for finance with a genuine warmth and sass that endeared her to patrons and colleagues alike. Beyond her professional pursuits, Ashley's love for all animals knew no bounds. She embraced every furry or winged companion with tender affection, exemplifying the depth of her compassionate nature. Ashley's infectious enthusiasm for life was evident in her passion for sunglasses and the University of Michigan football, she amassed impressive collections that reflected her vibrant personality. While her physical presence has been taken from us, Ashley's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her beloved family, her countless friends, and the extended network of lives she touched. Her radiant spirit will continue to illuminate the paths of those who knew her, serving as a reminder to embrace life's simple pleasures and cherish every moment. Ashley Rae Amann will be deeply missed, but her legacy of joy, warmth, and an unwavering love for life's adventures will forever be celebrated by those fortunate enough to have known her. A Celebration of Ashley’s Life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates we respect their privacy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
