Anna Katrine (Sikina) Rauch

Anna Katrine (Sikina) Rauch, a resident of Grand Rapids, MI, and former resident of Pitt Gas, PA, Allen Park, MI, and Atlanta, MI, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. She was 87 years old. Ann, as she preferred over Anna, moved to Michigan from Pennsylvania in the 1950’s. She lived with her older sister, Mary, and worked at Ford Motor Company, where she met her future husband of nearly 65 years, Henry (Hank) Rauch. Ann and Hank raised four children, Karen (a.k.a. KaeAnn), Greg, Chris (Melissa), and Gary (Dawn), in Allen Park, MI, before retiring “Up North” at Canada Creek Ranch, where they built their dream retirement home together. Prior to retirement, Canada Creek was a center point of year-round family recreation, providing camping, hunting, fishing, and interaction with the families of her two brothers, Frank and Chuck, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Travel was always an important family activity. The Rauch family was seen traversing the country, pulling a camper, while visiting nearly every state the U.S., including a summer-long trip to Alaska. Ann was the ever-present co-pilot of all of these road trips. Retirement years found Ann and Hank taking several trips to Europe and Australia, while also being “snowbirds” and enjoying the winter months in Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Ann was an avid archer. She enjoyed competing in regional and state tournaments with Hank and the boys. The love for archery was later shared with golf. Ann and Hank enjoyed league play at their local club, as well as many destination golfing trips with friends. Ann will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her marriage, family and faith, as well as her warm smile and gentle ways, by Hank, her children, and her grandchildren, Samantha, Nick, Sydney and William. A Funeral Service celebrating Ann’s life will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 10:30 am, with visitation from 9:30 am -10:30am, at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary Remembrance Chapel, 3525 Remembrance Road NW, Walker MI 49534 The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to: Guide Dogs for the Blind, P.O.
